We Are Relocating to Singapore!

Hello everyone!

It has been a long time since we posted on here – and not because we have stopped travelling! Since our last post, we have visited the Loire and Normandy areas of France , the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia in Wales, Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District and Surrey Hills in England, Vienna in Austria and Singapore! Life is full and it is hard to find the time to sit and write, but we will share these experiences with you over the next few weeks as we are on lockdown in the UK due to the global Coronavirus pandemic and have a little bit of time for writing.

We thought we would take this opportunity to share with you that we are moving to Singapore in just 8 weeks!

Actually, we had secured a job in Singapore in 2018, but this all fell through last minute, which forced us into a move from Norfolk in the East of England to Surrey, in the South. We have been in Surrey for about 20 months now and it has been a wonderful experience – beautiful places to visit and a wonderful place to live. We decided that for a year, we needed to switch off to the idea of moving to Singapore as we found the move quite unsettling (we uprooted and moved with only 3 weeks notice!). So when September 2019 came about, we started to look at jobs in Singapore again and I am very pleased to say we have secured a job and will be flying out in about 8 weeks, COVID-19 depending.

We have decided to slightly change the angle of this blog, making it more about the experiences as ex-pats, from packing the house, family dynamics (we have two little ones) and the highs and lows! Please follow our journey as we go. We aim to do some vlogs along the way too and we will post our links on here too!
